Delivery-only restaurant concept ClusterTruck is expanding to Atlanta.
Chris Baggott, a former software developer, launched the Indianapolis-based company in April 2016.
Baggott and his team will open a kitchen, at 100 Luckie Street NW downtown, from which “virtual food trucks” will operate.
“ClusterTruck is a new food movement that’s redefining how customers order food on demand,” a company spokesperson Friday told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in an email.
“The delivery-only restaurant offers a tech-savvy system that’s able to perfectly time every aspect of the process, from online ordering to free curbside delivery that arrives in an average of just 21 minutes.”
ClusterTruck is like a food truck park in and of itself in that it offers more than 100 menu items from a collection of 11 “virtual” food trucks serving a wide variety of cuisines.
Instead of visiting an actual food truck, customers can order food items online to be delivered for free for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and can modify foods to cater to diet restrictions like vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and more.
The average menu item costs $10, and complete meals that include a side and/or drink range from $15 to $20 per person.
ClusterTruck offers everything from biscuits and gravy and burritos for breakfast to pad thai and chicken salad for lunch to tacos and burgers for dinner.
Some of ClusterTruck’s most popular menu items are the Lazy Breakfast Burrito, Buffalo Mac and Cheese, Pad Thai, and Fried Chicken Sandwich.
ClusterTruck is currently in Indianapolis and Bloomington, Indiana; Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio; Denver; and Kansas City, Missouri.
The Atlanta market is set to launch in the second quarter of 2018.
[Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that ClusterTruck would replace Aamar Indian Cuisine.]
Is Aamar Indian really closed? We just ate there on Thursday. No indication that they were closing.
Hi Kyle, Aamar is still open. We’ve since corrected the article. It’s unclear where in 100 Luckie Street ClusterTruck will be situated. The delivery company was only able to confirm the address. ~ CJS
Thank you for the update. If you haven’t tried Aamar yet, please do. Their food is delicious!
That’s good to hear! It would be sad to lose Aamar!
Is ClusterTruck ever going to get going in downtown Atlanta? I can’t find any information about whether it is up and running. We are hungry down here! 🙂
