Space Shop and Eden Rock have plans to redevelop a former Fulton County Schools Administration Center in the Hammond Park neighborhood of Atlanta, bordering East Point.

The site, at 786 Cleveland Avenue, will be transformed into Space Shop self-storage, and some form of retail, restaurants, or other commercial uses, Eden Rock’s Brandon Ashkouti Monday told What Now Atlanta in an email.

A permit application last week was filed with the City of Atlanta to convert the former office building at the site into Space Shop and “storage construction starts ASAP,” Ashkouti said.

An estimated $2,743,000 will be spent converting the 100,829-square-foot, three-story office building into Space Shop, including an addition to the existing structure.

Eden Rock will redevelop the three-acre “parking field” into retail, restaurant, and commercial buildings.

Ashkouti and his team cannot “discuss prospect tenants at this time” but two possible site plans include either a 4,200-square-foot restaurant and a 2,700-square-foot “oil change,” or a 4,200-square-foot restaurant and a 2,000-square-foot coffee shop.

The companies in January acquired the site, once home to an elementary school.
