Sandtown Crossing, a South Fulton County mixed-use development, later this year will break ground on a new phase that will be anchored by Publix.
Space for shops and out parcels will also be added to the development, at 5815 Campbellton Road SW.
The 48,387-square-foot Publix store will include a drive-thru pharmacy window and be flanked by two 8,200-square-foot buildings.
Sandtown Crossing’s newest phase is set to break ground in fall 2019 and will open a year later in 2020.
Adams & Company Real Estate Inc. started development several years ago on the Sandtown Crossing mixed-use development, at the Northwest corner of Camp Creek Parkway and Campbellton Road in the unincorporated Sandtown community in south Fulton County.
“We are very excited to announce the development of a full-service Publix supermarket at
Sandtown Crossing,” John Perlman, president of Adams & Company, said in a prepared statement.
“Publix is a favorite one stop shop for so many across the southeast, known for fresh produce and diverse food offerings. It is our pleasure to bring this amenity to the City of South Fulton.”
Tenants for the adjacent spaces have not yet been announced.
Development to date includes 15,000 square feet of retail space, 18,000 square feet of office space, a CVS, and Angels Academy Daycare.
It would be terrific to have a gym in one of those adjacent spaces. Planet Fitness?
I only hope the new Publix store will have enough store space and parking and not be as congested as Publix at Camp Creek Marketplace.
