The intersection of Blue Diamond Rd and Decatur Blvd will soon be home to Shogun Ramen, a new restaurant from Las Vegas restaurateur Takashi Segawa.
Segawa is the force behind Mon Restaurant Group, a family of Las Vegas restaurants that includes Monta Japanese Noodle House, Sushi Mon, and Kabuto Edomae Sushi. He is also behind projects like Tekka Bar at the Cosmopolitan and Ramen Kobo on Durango Dr.
A building permit was issued by Clark County for a ramen restaurant at 4870 Blue Diamond Rd, Suite 100, with an estimated construction budget of $70,000, earlier this fall, under the Ramen Kobo brand. However, paperwork filed with the county more recently lists the name of the restaurant as Shogun Ramen.
What Now Las Vegas reach out to the restaurateur on Wednesday. Segawa was unavailable for comment.
Details about the Shogun Ramen brand and menu are unavailable at this time. The menu at Segawa’s Ramen Kobo features a choice of broth from flavors like Shoyu Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Miso Ramen, for which guests can choose a level of spice and additional toppings, including ground pork, spicy fish roe, and kimchi.
The location on Blue Diamond Rd neighbors a number of restaurants along the northeastern side of the Blue Diamond-Decatur intersection. These include Vitality Bowls, The Habit Burger Grill, Café Rio Mexican Grill, and Cinnaholic.
No opening date has been announced for Shogun Ramen.
