Local, family-run franchisee group Platinum Donuts LLC is planning a new Dunkin’ to add to their existing standalone on Moreland Avenue.

This one is south of I-20 in the Woodland Hills neighborhood.

While the 30 Moreland Ave. outpost is drive-thru only, Shamran Kurani, co-owner of the group, tells What Now Atlanta that the second 1,900-square-foot Moreland outpost, at 1250 Moreland Ave SE, is a “next-generation Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins combination concept” which, like the Upper Westside’s recently-opened iteration at Westside Village, provides a tech-driven experience for the consumer.

For now, Special Land Use Permits are being sought to reopen the drive-thru and plans are in place to renovate the existing structure and also add a roughly 700-square-foot patio.

Construction will officially begin in May/June 2020, and the grand opening will likely occur in October/November of 2020, Kurani said.

Three other Dunkin’-only stores are under construction in Centerville, off Stone Mountain Hwy, and off Five Forks Trickum Road in Lilburn.

Additionally, the franchisee currently owns eight other Dunkin’ and Baskin’ Robbins combo restaurants, each with a customized data and community-driven concept tailored to the fancies of each community, through the lens of family.

“We are a family operation and you’ll see us in the restaurant every now again and we’ll even ask you if you’ll have cream or sugar.”
