As the chilly winter days fade away and the warmth and colors of spring approach, Atlanta will start celebrating again soon. Right on cue, the dates and route maps for the 2025 Atlanta Streets Alive have officially been announced. ASA will transform the streets of the city into a wonderful park space for all to enjoy. 

This year’s first Atlanta Streets Alive event will take place on April 27 at Peachtree Street. The event will offer its participants the chance to cycle, walk, roll, jog, stroll, scoot, or just enjoy a fun day on the streets of Atlanta, free of charge.

Experience the Energy of Atlanta Streets Alive

An event that was inspired by open streets projects around the world, Atlanta Streets Alive will open the streets for people. In the afternoon, people can enjoy the streets without any of the ruckus of cars. 

The event’s goal is to create a unique city street experience that is healthy and sustainable but also full of life and colors. Visitors are welcome to stroll or ride a bicycle through the community streets, exploring them in a safer, healthier, more livable way.

The event will be the stage for getting physically active through people-powered fun in the outdoors. It will also showcase the community’s arts and culture, celebrating its unique character and spirit. 

The Streets That Will Come to Life

The routes and dates for the 2025 Atlanta Streets Alive have been announced. According to the organizers, the dates for the remaining months of the year will be announced later. 

Peachtree St. On April 27 and June 22

There will be a 3-mile street closure on Peachtree Midtown through Downtown, between 15th Street and Upper Alabama Street, activated by ASA on April 27 and June 22, 2025. The route map can be found online.

Timings: 

  • Street Closure: 12 PM to 7 PM
  • Event Time: 2 PM to 6 PM

Other Tentative Dates for 2025:

  • Sunday, July or Aug 2025 (Date to be announced)
  • Sunday, September 14, 2025
  • Sunday, November 9, 2025

West End to Grant Park on May 18

Atlanta Streets Alive will activate the 3.5-mile closure on Ralph David Abernathy and Georgia Ave, between Langhorn St SW and Cherokee Ave, Gordon White Park to Grant Park. 

The route connecting 7 Southside Neighborhoods will open on May 18. The detailed route map is available online.
