A new ground-up convenience store is in the works at a vacant lot south of Atlanta.

The store (labeled Building A) is proposed for 5281 Jonesboro Road in Morrow, according to construction documents. It would be 5,175 square feet, according to the project plans. Renderings indicate space for a covered patio area and several fuel pumps.

An existing structure at the property that used to be a restaurant (labeled Building B) could be converted into additional retail space.

The property is adjacent to a two-story retail complex and across the street from NAPA Auto Parts.

The team behind the project appears to be an affiliate of Doaba Properties LLC, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.

Construction bids for the project will be accepted through May 14, 2024.
