The Atlantic Companies has begun the transformation of Berkeley Park in Atlanta. The project will bring a new commercial development along the Atlanta Beltline. It will bring new retail, dining, and office spaces to the neighborhood.
Construction of The Berkeley is Now Underway

Construction is underway on The Berkeley, a new commercial development at 1500 Northside Drive in Atlanta’s Berkeley Park neighborhood. The project will convert the former Myers Carpet building into commercial space connected to the Atlanta Beltline.
Renovations began in August 2026 and are expected to be completed by mid-2027. The project will preserve the building’s historic character while adding modern commercial spaces.
The property’s branding is inspired by Berkeley Park, with the existing silo along Northside Drive serving as The Berkeley’s visual symbol. The project is also connected to The Grove, a Monday Night Brewing location that opened on the property in August 2025.
Construction is also beginning on the Atlanta Beltline’s nearly one-mile Northwest Segment 3B. The extension will connect The Berkeley to Tanyard Creek Park and include a pedestrian bridge over Northside Drive.
The Atlantic Companies acquired the property in January 2023 and worked with Atlanta Beltline, Inc. to incorporate the trail into the development. SRS Real Estate Partners is handling retail leasing, while Capital Real Estate Group is handling office leasing.
“The Berkeley is a nod to the Berkeley Park neighborhood we are proud to be part of,” said Andy Johns, Principal with The Atlantic Companies. “Together with The Grove and amplified by the Beltline, The Berkeley will offer an approachable mix of retail concepts that reflects the character of this eclectic community and gives visitors a sense of discovery.”
The Berkeley Project Details
The Berkeley is located on a 2.7-acre property along the Atlanta Beltline’s Northwest Trail. The trail provides connections between Northside Drive and Howell Mill Road.
The project will feature approximately 21,400 square feet of commercial space. About 17,400 square feet will be dedicated to retail, food and beverage, and showroom uses. There will also be 4,000 square feet of creative office space and a covered breezeway connecting the building to the Atlanta Beltline.
