Whole Foods Market is overhauling its Buckhead Market Place grocery store to the tune of $3,800,000.

The 53,208-square-foot Whole Foods Market is getting new walls, floors, ceilings, finishes, fixtures, and equipment, according to a permit application filed recently with the City of Atlanta.

It’s unclear if the grocer, which anchors the center, will be open during renovations and what the timeline is for construction.

Whole Foods representatives did not respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.

The grocery store’s overhaul is one of several ongoing projects for Buckhead Market Place.

Edens, the center’s developer, is planning other cosmetics improvements with the arrival of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and Velvet Taco.

Planned improvements include two new storefronts and property-wide landscaping, according to a Special Administrative Permit submission last week.

The new storefronts are slated for suite 425, the space that will house Jeni’s, and the center’s last remaining space, suite 400 (shown as “Shoppe” in the rendering below).
