A new WoodSpring Suites appears to be in the works in northeast Atlanta.

The 48,660-square-foot new construction is planned for 3658 Buford Highway, according to a building permit application.

The hotel appears to be a project from Moe Hasni, listed as the developer of the project. Hasni has prior experience in the restaurant, retail and hotel space in Atlanta. He is a founder of Urban Wings, a chicken-wing concept that first opened a location in 2021 and started franchising last year, and has also operated locations of Savi Provisions and Holiday Inn. Hasni could not immediately be reached for comment.

WoodSpring Suites is an extended-stay hotel chain that was acquired by Choice Hotels International in 2018. There are existing WoodSpring Suites in Conyers, Stockbridge, McDonough and Newnan.
