A new location of Jim ‘N Nick’s Community BBQ appears to be headed to Fayette County.

The barbecue restaurant would be constructed at 145 Walker Parkway in Fayetteville, according to construction documents. The site is located south of Atlanta, off State Route 85. The restaurant would be more than 5,000 square feet, including a patio.

Jim ‘N Nick’s was founded in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1985. Atlanta‐based private equity firm Roark Capital Group acquired the brand in 2017.

The menu includes barbecue meats like pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, smoked turkey breast and more, as well as sandwiches, ribs, chicken tenders, burgers and sides.

There are currently 18 Jim ‘N Nick’s locations in Georgia, with several more in the works. In addition to Georgia and Alabama, the brand also has locations in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.

  • I’m so excited to learn Potbelly is coming to Atlanta metro. I’m from DC and have enjoyed their salads and sandwiches for years. I have written to them in thr past asking for an ATL location and am glad I won’t have to mule jars of Potbelly peppers across state lines for much longer!

  • Finally ! I’ve been saying for years they need to come here ! Best sandwiches; I ate them all the time in Louisville Kentucky.
