Fast-casual Peruvian rotisserie joint Viva Chicken, a fast-casual Peruvian rotisserie restaurant chain, recently received the necessary permits to buildout its first Georgia location.

Set to open in Kennesaw, at 1125 Ernest Barrett Parkway, a company spokesperson tells What Now Atlanta that the location is slated for a fall 2022 debut. “We are thrilled to be expanding in the Atlanta market,” they said.

In spring 2023, Viva Chicken will open its second location, this time in Alpharetta, at 11760 Haynes Bridge Road.

These first two locations are just the beginning for the metro Atlanta area. “We are in conversations to open additional Atlanta locations,” the spokesperson said, but nothing is “solidified as of yet.”

Founded by Randy Garcia and Chef Bruno Macchiavello in 2013, Viva Chicken aims to deliver the hottest, freshest chicken made with Macchiavello’s family recipes. Viva Chicken offers charcoal-fire rotisserie, specializing in Pollo a la Brasa which is found on the streets of Peru.

In addition to its Pollo a la Brasa, which is served in 1/4, 1/2, or whole chicken options, Viva Chicken’s sides include cilantro rice, green beans, and arroz chaufa. There are also salad options, sandwiches, wraps, and desserts.
