The cake shop is moving up Roswell Road to a new space.

A cake shop in Buckhead is baking up a new location.

Piece of Cake is planning a move to 3872 Roswell Road NE, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The scope of work on the 1,194-square-foot space includes new flooring, paint and ceiling tile.

Piece of Cake was founded by Melissa Bunnen Jernigan. There are eight stores across metro Atlanta, plus one at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The new Buckhead location will be about 1.5 miles north of the current one, located at 3215 Roswell Road.

The new location is already listed on a Buckhead Court site map, with Piece of Cake situated between European Wax Center and Boardroom Salon For Men.

The shops offer gourmet cakes and cupcakes in flavors like strawberry, white chocolate, red velvet and more. Atlanta-based restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick acquired Piece of Cake in 2023.
