A popular chicken chain appears to be working on another location in the Peach State.
Raising Cane’s is planned for a space at 920 Buford Highway, according to construction plans.
The site was formerly occupied by O’Charley’s. Construction documents indicate that the 7,250-square-foot building is expected to be demolished to clear the way for the ground-up construction of the 2,691-square-foot Raising Cane’s.
The Raising Cane’s menu includes chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast and coleslaw – plus the fan-favorite Cane’s sauce.
The restaurant was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1996. The company has more than 800 restaurants across 41 states. According to the company, they are currently not focused on franchising new locations and are instead aiming for rapid development of new company-owned restaurants.
Construction bids on the Cumming location will be accepted until April 11, 2025. Raising Cane’s has also proposed expansion to West Midtown and Dunwoody.
Until these locations open, Raising Cane’s fans in Georgia can get their fix at several stores that are already open in metro Atlanta and its surrounding areas.
