Wireless service provider Consumer Cellular is eyeing a storefront in Alpharetta, recent bidding documents indicate. The company is looking to build out a space at 7391 North Point Pkwy.
In June, Consumer Cellular celebrated the opening of its 100th retail location. However, the wireless service provider has not ventured into Georgia with brick-and-mortar stores as of yet. This location would mark the first location in the state.
Consumer Cellular launched in 1995 in Oregon but did not start opening retail stores until about four years ago. Now, the stores are spread across more than 30 states. The brand offers phone plans, phones, tablets, smartwatches and other devices and accessories.
In Alpharetta, the store would neighbor Michael’s, REI, Five Below, Designer Shoe Warehouse and Macy’s.
What Now Atlanta has reached out to the Consumer Cellular team for more details regarding the Alpharetta location. As of now, an opening timeline has not been revealed but it appears the spot is in the early stages of development.
