Children’s indoor play gym We Rock the Spectrum – North Austin is planning renovations to its 5,680-square-foot space at McNeil Crossing, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) records.

The project is located at 6001 W. Parmer Lane, Suite 430, Austin, TX 78727, in Travis County. The registered renovation carries an estimated cost of $219,518 and includes HVAC replacements, new flooring, and the construction of three offices in the main area. The work also involves associated electrical improvements, equipment installation, and painting.

According to the TDLR filing, the project is privately funded by the tenant and covers approximately 5,680 square feet. The record lists a construction start date of November 3, 2025, and an estimated completion date of February 4, 2026. Its current status is listed as Project Registered.

We Rock the Spectrum – North Austin operates as part of the We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym franchise, an indoor playground concept designed to provide inclusive, sensory-friendly play environments for children of all abilities.

The franchise was founded by Dina Kimmel, who opened its first gym in Tarzana, California, in September 2010. The concept grew from her desire to create a welcoming play space for her son and other children with different developmental and sensory needs. The company began franchising in 2013 and has since expanded internationally.

The gyms feature specialized sensory equipment designed to encourage physical activity, coordination, motor skills, and social interaction. Equipment can include swings, trampolines, zip lines, climbing structures, crash mats, and sensory-based toys. The locations also offer activities such as open play, classes, birthday parties, and private events.

The North Austin location offers indoor play opportunities for children ages 12 months and older, including classes for children with special needs and those who are typically developing. Its facility also features a calming room, an arts and crafts area, a private party room, a retail shop, and healthy snacks and beverages.

The North Austin gym is independently operated and is part of the broader We Rock the Spectrum franchise network.
