A cozy Charlestown café has set its sights on Cambridge.

Signage for Mister Q. Cafe has popped up at 150 Western Ave, according to a post within the Friends of Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Facebook group. The new location will be the café’s second outpost.

Founded in early 2020, Mister Q. has become known for its easygoing, European-inspired café fare. The menu spans breakfast and lunch staples, from hearty sandwiches and wraps to soups, salads, burgers, clubs, and omelets. Muffins, croissants, and scones fill the pastry case, alongside a lineup of hot and iced coffees.

Behind the café is local restaurateur Klevis Qyrasi, who operates several Greater Boston spots including Peabody Diner in Peabody, Plus Cafe, and Ella Taverna in Marblehead. He also previously ran the now-closed A&D Clam Box, which is reportedly searching for a new space to reopen.

According to filings with the Cambridge License Commission, the new Mister Q. outpost would span roughly 850 square feet, with seating for 14 guests indoors and an additional 20 outside.

Plans also call for an expansion in hours, with service running daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., a significant shift from the original location’s earlier closing times, which run until 5 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on weekends.

A 2025 Facebook post from Mister Q. Cafe teases the location as “coming soon,” while its Google Business page lists a projected opening before the end of May 2026. What Now Boston has reached out to Qyrasi and will share updates as they become available.
