A Wellesley coffee shop is expanding to Boston’s waterfront.

Jejes Coffee is planning to open a second location at 50 Harbor St in the Seaport District, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. A representative for the business confirmed the expansion with What Now Boston, though construction delays mean the projected opening isn’t expected until sometime in 2027.

Founded in 2020 by Soonhee Ka, Jejes Coffee was created with a mission to “provide specialty coffee tailored to everyone’s needs and tastes and to make coffee drinking about the experience rather than the caffeine content.” Soonhee is among the nation’s top-tier specialty coffee roasters and was a finalist in the 2023 U.S. Coffee Roasters Championship, representing New England. She has also served as a national judge for the U.S. Coffee Roasters Championship since 2025.

The first storefront, which opened in the western suburbs of Boston in the spring of 2023, blends modern design with classic coffeehouse touches. Notably, it is the first and only kosher coffee shop in the region, allowing guests to enjoy specialty coffee regardless of religious dietary restrictions.

While details are still emerging, the Seaport location is expected to mirror the original café’s kosher menu, featuring in-house espresso and pour-over coffee made with high-quality specialty beans roasted by Soonhee herself, along with matcha, tea, hot chocolate, and fresh-baked goods.

Menu highlights include classics like the Flat White and Cappuccino, alongside inventive offerings such as the Sweet Potato Latte and Berryade, a refreshing, soda-like drink made of sparkling water and organic fruit.

Like the Wellesley location, the Seaport shop will skip flavored syrups altogether, allowing the natural complexity of each roast to shine. This approach reflects the brand’s tagline: “No Flavorings, Just Flavor.”

Stay tuned for updates as Jejes Coffee brings its specialty coffee to the Seaport.
