HopDog, a gourmet hotdog and beer garden concept, is taking over the old Amidst The Alders space in Beaufort. The space is currently being remodeled and is set to open sometime this spring (although it could be later, according to owner Alex Velasco).

The family-friendly restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as bar top and counter service. In addition to food, there will be 20 beers on top and a full bar, with hopes to also have live music, reports The Island News.

“It’s just a cool outdoor space where you can bring your dog or bring your kids, enjoy a beer and have a good time downtown,” Velasco told The Island News.

Velsaco also owns Lost Local, a restaurant and bar located in Scout Southern Market.
