A local brewing company appears to be working on a manufacturing space.

According to a recent filing notice, Bevi Bene Brewing Company intends to apply for a license and/or permit for the sale and off-premises consumption of beer at 2516 Oscar Johnson Drive in North Charleston.

The company announced in March 2025 that they would be closing their Charleston taproom at 1859 Summerville Avenue after nearly three years, but they assured customers that they weren’t going anywhere; their products (including some new ones) would still be available.

“This isn’t goodbye – it’s just the beginning of something new. Keep your eyes peeled for what’s to come,” according to a social media post.

Recent commercial real estate transactions indicate that Bevi Bene Brewing Company LLC signed a lease for 1,541 square feet of industrial space at the site. Vitré Ravenel Stephens, Todd Garrett, Tradd Varner and Crawford Riddle of Harbor Commercial Partners represented the landlord, Bluewing of Charleston LLC, in the lease. Keith Mayfield of CCTRE represented the tenant.

Clay and Marissa Carlisle founded Bevi Bene Brewing Company, which opened in June 2022.
