Left Lane, the developer behind Hotel Bardo Savannah & Club Bardo, is preparing to launch a new hotel project in Savannah: Recess Hotel & Club.
The Left Lane website describes the project as “Left Lane Hospitality’s newest brand — a ‘public club,’ or a private clubhouse for all, where members, locals, and travelers come together to eat, drink, work, and play.”
The lobby will be anchored by a 10-seat bar and a 47-seat lounge, says coverage by Hospitality Design. “Adjacent to the bar, the Servery, a Japanese automat-inspired takeout window, serves quick bites for breakfast and lunch.”
The hotel will also be home to Le Flâneur, a new restaurant that “reinterprets the Parisian café through a Savannahian lens, pairing the building’s original mosaic flooring and antique mirrors with woven rattan bistro chairs and custom statement lighting,” and Kilter Rooftop Bar, which will be home to “Savannah’s highest rooftop pool.”
“Opening Fall 2026 as a member of Leading Hotels of the World, Recess restores Savannah’s historic Manger Building, built in 1912, into a 221-room lifestyle hotel guided by a ‘retro futurist’ design narrative,” the Left Lane site continues. “It builds on the momentum of Hotel Bardo, Left Lane’s award-winning Savannah flagship.”
Recess Hotel & Club is opening soon at 7 E Congress St. in Savannah.
