A new joint is set to take over a former bar and grill in Myrtle Beach.

In early September, the beloved Whiskey Beach Bar & Grill announced that it would be closing “for the next couple of weeks” for renovations, but it now appears it will not reopen. Instead, Renegades Bar & Grill will occupy the 9668 N Kings Hwy space.

Renegades owner Mark Gorshin relocated to Myrtle Beach from Pittsburgh in 2021 and subsequently opened Blitzburgh Sports Bar & Grill in Murrells Inlet with his father.

Renovations are currently underway at Renegades, as noted on the eatery’s Facebook page. Updates include a fresh coat of paint, new bar stools, a 100-inch TV at the main bar, new flooring, updated TouchTunes, speakers, pool, and dart tables, along with a power wash for the deck.

A new food menu will also be introduced, likely offering an upgrade from the typical chicken tenders and burgers previously served at Whiskey Beach.

Additionally, Gorshin noted that “Renegades will have the hottest bands and all the sports packages including the NFL, ESPN Plus, Business, and NHL Ticket.”

An official opening date has not yet been announced. For the latest updates, follow Renegades Bar & Grill on Facebook.
