What Now reported nearly a year ago on plans for Sunrise Bistro, the growing South Carolina-born breakfast and lunch brand, to expand to Goose Creek. That opening has since gone through successfully, and now—according to coverage by the Post and Courier—Sunrise Bistro is planning to expand yet again.

The chain already has locations on Johns Island and in Mount Pleasant, Summerville, and Beech Island. Its next new restaurant is opening in West Ashley, where it’s set to take over the space home to Annie O’ Loves Cookie Cafe, the coverage says.

“Since opening in 2009, Sunrise Bistro has satisfied hungry passers-by with simple, comforting food made with care and without pretension — as mom might make,” the Sunrise Bistro website says. “There are favorites for breakfast (NOW ALL DAY) like French toast, enchiladas rancheros, homemade bagels, open-faced omelets, and breakfast pizzas.”

Sunrise also does its own coffee roasting at its Summerville location.

“At the intersection of coffee culture and wellness. Our mission at Sunrise Bistro Coffee is to connect these vibrant worlds, creating a community where individuals can thrive physically, mentally, and socially,” says the Goose Creek restaurant’s website. “Organic and Fair Trade-sourced, our freshly roasted coffee offers a superior sensory experience and may provide greater health benefits due to its freshness and higher antioxidant content.”
