An ambitious new development is set to reshape the cultural landscape of downtown Beaufort.

According to a recent LOCAL Life SC report, a new three-story, 18,000-square-foot building is being planned for 101 Scott Street, led by local developer and SIMBA Property Management owner Graham Trask.

The upcoming building will stand as the tallest on Bay Street, featuring up to two restaurants and a rooftop bar offering scenic views of Waterfront Park.

While the development will necessitate the demolition of YoYo’s Ice Cream, currently located on the site, other nearby businesses will remain unaffected. Cook on Bay, YoYo’s Frozen Yogurt, and The Rustic Pup Biscuits & Boutique will continue to serve patrons during the build.

The project is slated for completion in 2025. Details about the establishments within the building are still being finalized, so stay tuned for updates.
