A family-owned car wash chain is making a splash with its continued expansion across the Carolinas.
Scrubby’s Car Wash, founded by brothers Chase and Charles Howard, is set to open a new location at the intersection of Robert Edge Parkway and Highway 90 in North Myrtle Beach.
The company currently operates locations in Lumberton, North Carolina, and Bennettsville, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Hartsville, Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, making North Myrtle Beach a natural next step in its expansion.
“North Myrtle Beach was the next progression. We have locations toward the other end of Myrtle Beach, so this one moves us up toward North Myrtle Beach to be along the coastline,” a spokesperson told What Now Charleston.
The new location will mirror the company’s eight existing tunnel car wash locations.
“It’s going to be a full tunnel wash. It’s a three-minute-long tunnel wash, pull through car wash. We have free vacuums, towels, window cleaner and all-purpose cleaner available for use at the car wash. We also have a mat-cleaning station for cloth mats and rubber mats” they said.
Scrubby’s Car Wash offers advanced car washes using brushes, ceramic coatings and liquid glaze for added shine and paint protection. Most wash packages also include tire and wheel cleaning, with a focus on fast, environmentally conscious service.
The spokesperson said the company sets itself apart through its commitment to customer service, delivering a high-quality experience and providing a top-tier product. The company also places a strong emphasis on community engagement.
An official opening date has not yet been announced; however, the team is targeting a second-half-of-July opening. Once the location opens, Scrubby’s Car Wash will offer free washes during its first few days of operation.
