Wahlburgers St. Charles Closes After Lease Expires
Massachusetts-based Wahlburgers has closed its St. Charles restaurant after six years of operation. It was known for its hearty burgers and delicious shakes and smoothies. The menu featured burgers, shakes, smoothies, sandwiches, and plant-based options.
The restaurant was founded by chef-owner Paul Wahlberg, along with his Hollywood celebrity brothers, Donnie and Mark Wahlberg.
The restaurant team explained that due to the lease expiration, it had to close immediately. Following the closure announcement, customers of Wahlburgers expressed disappointment on social media.
Restaurant Hints Return With New Location
Alongside the closure announcement, the restaurant team hinted at the brand’s next location. The team wrote, “We can’t wait to welcome you back to our new location; more info coming soon!”
According to a WGN-TV, the Randall Road, St. Charles location was the last remaining location of the burger spot. Wahlburgers closed its Chicago River North location in 2021.
Wahlburgers began its journey in 2011 in Hingham, Massachusetts. Over the years, the restaurant has built a strong following and expanded its operation with multiple locations.
In the post, the team thanked the community for their support and assured that it’s not a goodbye. The team said more information about its planned new location will be announced later.
