Ahuevo Breakfast Restaurant To Open Second Location Near West Loop

The Little Village breakfast spot has found another home in the city.

A restaurant offering options of meat-filled breakfast sandwiches is putting another location on the map.

Ahuevo breakfast restaurant recently took to social media to announce their new location is coming to 520 W Harrison Street. This is near West Loop, and it will be their second restaurant. There is not yet an estimated opening date, but it was recently posted the location is “coming soon.”

“At Ahuevo, we are obsessed with creating the perfect combination egg sandwiches for your experience,” says their Instagram caption.

Their current 2528 S Kedzie Avenue location is inside the Mi Terra restaurant. They first acquired space around 2015. Their new space is currently occupied by Himalayan Sherpa kitchen, and is situated next to the Holiday Inn & Suites Downtown hotel.

Currently, their location serves many egg sandwiches like their signature ahuevo with cafe-free scrambled eggs, chopped chives, cheddar cheese, sriracha bayo and caramelized onions. They also have bacon egg and cheese, pork sausage and cheese, smash burgers, burritos and sides of fries or tater tots. For drinks, they have hot coffee, horchata and juices.
