Beatrix, a dining experience from the venerable hospitality group Lettuce Entertain You, is coming to The Loop to join its sister concept Beatrix Market, already open at 155 N. Wacker Drive. Marc Jacobs, Executive Partner and Division President of Beatrix and Beatrix Market, confirmed the plans, noting the restaurant will certainly open this year, but supply chain delays have kept the company from announcing an opening timeline just yet.
That said, progess is certainly being made. Beatrix Loop was issued its building permit for the space on January 4th, which will allow renovations to begin.
For those of you who already enjoy the salad, soup, and coffee bar offered by Beatrix Market, the addition of the restaurant dining experience is something you won’t want to miss. Beatrix Loop will bring indoor and outdoor seating, a private dining space, an extended bar and cocktail program, and, of course, its iconic coffee and pastry counter.
The eatery’s menu features healthful comfort food envisioned by Chef Andrew Ashmore and covers gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
“We are thrilled to bring Beatrix to Chicago’s Loop neighborhood and business community,” Jacobs is quoted as saying on Beatrix’s website. “Beatrix is your go-to meeting spot – it’s the place to grab a cup of coffee and your favorite pastry, have a lunch meeting, or enjoy cocktails with co-workers.”
Beatrix Loop will be brand’s fifth location, following Fulton Market, Oak Brook, River North, and Streeterville.
Find Beatrix online to stay in the loop, or swing by the market for a coffee.
