Fast-growing Nashville hot chicken restaurant Burnin’ Mouth is set to make its official Illinois debut with a new location in Lombard, located at 203 Yorktown Center FC-8.
The California-based company will start by moving into the Yorktown Center sometime this month. Then, later this year, the company will open a location in Oakbrook. This is the first of many new sites popping up across the country, including new locations coming to Irvine and Boise this month. Eventually, the company will expand further to cities such as Milpitas, Ontario, Orlando, Serremonte, and Valencia. This is very impressive, considering the restaurant first opened in Oxnard in early 2021.
Besides the original location in the Annex Food Hall, Burnin’ Mouth can also be found in Fort Worth, Brea, and Glendale. When the new locations open, customers can expect a simple yet flavorful menu packed with heat. Whether you get a chicken sandwich, chicken wings, or chicken strips, each item can be customized to five degrees of spiciness, with number five, the spiciest, being called “insane.”
Other sides include Texas toast, coleslaw, french fries, and bang bang fries with comeback sauce, coleslaw, pickles, nacho cheese, fried onion, ranch, garlic soy sauce, and seasoning. If you want a little extra sauce with any of your entrees, the restaurant offers comeback sauce, never comeback sauce, garlic soy, sweet chili, nacho cheese, and ranch.
Although the chicken sandwich wars continue to bring new competition left and right, Burnin’ Mouth may have found a sweet spot within its Lombard location. Although the Chicago debut will have some competition with Chick-fil-a, Brooster’s Open Hearth Chicken, KFC, and Popeyes, this will be the only Nashville-focused hot chicken restaurant anywhere nearby. In addition to being a quick stop for mall visitors, it’s easily accessible for students from Midwestern University.
