CheSa’s Gluten Tootin Free Gourmet Food Truck is getting ready to open its first restaurant in Avondale, located at 3235c West Addison St.

This is a major accomplishment for owner Chesareé Rollins, who started selling her gourmet gluten-free meals from a bright red food truck throughout Chicago. When she wasn’t driving around serving the windy city, she offered catering for private events. Now, the business owner is getting ready to open a 1,500 square-foot restaurant in Elston Plaza on July 15, 2022. Guests can expect a fusion of cajun-creole cuisine from the restaurant, with a significant amount of it being gluten-free.

Rollins has launched several businesses and community-based initiatives to support community growth and development in Chicago. She has used her business acumen to provide services to U.S. Senator Roland Burris, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Democratic National Congressional Committee, and the American Red Cross. In 2016 Rollins became a supplier to Whole Foods Market with her gluten-free vegan pasta. She is currently planning to expand into more retail stores.

“After adopting a gluten-free lifestyle, she found more difficulties getting accommodated than she anticipated, climaxing in visiting a food truck festival she could barely touch,” according to their website. “Taking matters into her own hands, she started a truck of her own that caters to honest-to-God foodies while honestly staying free of all glutenous temptations.”
