One of the newest cafes coming to Crown Point, Indiana is from a local interior designer who started the business with her family.
Owner Jillian Richey is getting ready to open her cafe at 238 S Main Street in downtown Crown Point. Richey told What Now Chicago the ribbon cutting will be June 27, and the actual opening will be on July 1-2.
The business has been posting on social media about the space opening soon. It is advertised as being family built, and it is located in the Crown Point Historic District. It will be right across the street from Lucrezia Italian Ristorante.
“A cafe where time slows down, conversations linger and every sip is meant to be savored,” says the description on their Instagram page.
Richey owns her own interior design studio in Crown Point. A menu has not been released, but guests can expect coffees and teas from the bar. The cafe will be European-inspired, according to one of their posts.
Richey and her husband first announced the new cafe in March. Construction has been going on since then, and the interior of the previous building has been completely redone. In April they announced the business is hiring a team.
What Now Chicago has spoken with the owner, and this article may be updated.
