Krafted Burger Bar + Tap, a new restaurant inspired by a world-renowned chef’s global travels, is opening a new location in Elmhurst.
The new go-to burger joint recently made its Chicagoland debut by opening in The Promenade Bolingbrook, across from Macy’s and Ulta. Now, Krafted Burger Bar + Tap has announced a second location is coming to Elmhurst in early 2023, with additional locations planned for the Chicago area, according to The Daily Herald. This new concept is the brainchild of Chicagoland native Robert Kabakoff and former Jimmy John’s CEO Gregg Majewski, both of which helped create the menu full of American classics.
“Krafted Burger Bar + Tap has been a labor of love for me for the last several years, and to see it finally come to fruition is very fulfilling,” said Chef Kabakoff. “It reflects my international travels and the tastes of the world that I’ve grown to adore. With the backing of a well-established restaurant veteran like Gregg and his team, I’m confident Krafted will take the burger category by storm. In terms of the variety of flavors, there’s no other burger concept out there quite like this. I can’t wait to share these unique offerings with the Bolingbrook community and, soon, others throughout the Chicagoland area.”
Majewski, the CEO of Mongolian Concepts Restaurant Group, is no stranger to opening restaurants. Other restaurants to have opened under his brand include BD’s Mongolian Grill, Flat Top Grill, and Genghis Grill. When the company’s second location comes, customers can expect gourmet flat-top burgers, tempura-fried cauliflower, twice-fried chicken wings, hand-battered fried chicken sandwiches, crispy chicken sandwiches, tavern-style pizzas, and salads. Krafted Burger Bar + Tap will also offer more than 46 craft beer offerings and various cocktails on tap and wines.
“We’ve had an extensive and rewarding working relationship with Chef Kabakoff for our sister brands, making the addition of Krafted Burger Bar + Tap to our portfolio a no-brainer,” Majewski said. The concept perfectly aligns with our dedication to culinary innovation in each of our restaurants. I look forward to continuing our partnership with Chef Kabakoff and bringing new, distinctive flavors that will thrill our guests.”
