Lettuce Entertain You, the family-owned restaurant group with dozens throughout Chicagoland, is opening a new restaurant in Lincoln Park, located at 1962 N. Halsted St.

The company’s newest yet-to-be-named restaurant will move into the building that currently hosts three of the brand’s restaurants: Quality Crab and Oyster Bah, The Gin Commission, and the Crab Cellar. All three restaurants will close in the coming months to make room for “something new,” according to Block Club Chicago. The Gin Commission is scheduled to close first on November 19, with the Crab Cellar closing the next day. Quality Crab and Oyster Bah will close on December 3. The new business does not have an opening date.

“It has been a pleasure serving you and being part of the Lincoln Park community since 2015,” Quality Crab and Oyster Bah wrote on Facebook. “During our first weeks of service seven years ago, we received a review describing Oyster Bah as ‘overflowing with goodwill.’ We took those words to heart. We hope that you have experienced this goodwill while dining with us, slurping your first oyster, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying a slice of our Triple Layer Coconut Cake.”

When all three business close, Lettuce Entertain You will redesign the space and create a new go-to destination for Lincoln Park. The restaurant group has proved they are one of the strongest hospitality juggernauts in Chicagoland. This year alone, Lettuce Entertain You announced a new members-only club coming to River North in association with Tao Group Hospitality, a new west-coast-style restaurant in West Loop, and two new restaurants in the St. Regis Hotel. All restaurants are scheduled to open sometime next year.
