According to an article from Evanston Round Table, Lao Tian Dumplings House will soon come to Evanston at 1115 Emerson Street.

“We are planning to open in July, but we’re not quite ready yet. We will be mainly providing dumplings and pot stickers,” owner Jun Tian told What Now Chicago.

Lao Tian will be taking over what once was home to the old Cantuccio’s Pizza spot at the southern end of the L-shaped strip mall at Emerson and Ridge, the Evanston Round Table article states. According to an Instagram post from the company, Cantuccio’s Pizza closed in July of last year.

The Evanston location for Cantuccio’s Pizza was open for two years before it closed. On the Instagram post, the restaurant states that a re-opening could be on the horizon.

Overall information on Lao Tian Dumplings House is currently limited. It looks like Lao Tian was filed for under Lao Tian Dumplings House LLC, according to Open Corporates. The LLC was incorporated on May 9th, 2024.
