Noon O Kabab’s first suburban location will open in Highwood inside the new mixed-use development built by Benchmark Developers. The development, dubbed “The Benchmark of Highwood” by its creators, was completed earlier this year. Noon O Kabab has already signed a lease with the development and is in the process of building out the outpost, reports Patch.
Over text, longtime owner of Noon O Kabab Mir Naghavi confirmed the new location but shared it’s unlikely the eatery will open by the end of this year. Naghavi cited supply chain issues and staffing as reasons for the uncertain opening date.
Noon O Kabab is a family-owned business that has been in operation since 1997. What started as a small restaurant serving authentic Persian food on Kedzie Ave grew ito a much larger operation in 2016, when the company expanded to a 2,300 square-foot catering kitchen across the street.
According to the eatery’s website, Noon O Kabab’s menu is built from treasured family recipes. The ingredients are fresh and many of the spices are sourced from Iran. You can find a sprawling menu of kababs, as well as vegetarian plates, and dishes like the eatery’s signature Koubideh, ground sirloin beef with Persian seasonings.
Look for Noon O Kabab Highwood to open sometime in 2022, and find the eatery on social media to learn more.
