According to a recent article from Evanston Round Table, Olive Mediterranean Grill will be opening another location in Evanston, located at 1743 Sherman Ave.

“Our goal opening date will be sometime in the beginning or end of January of 2024. Before Covid, we had been open for about 7 or 8 years, right across the street from where our Evanston location will open. The menu will be pretty much the same, but we will be adding a deli case, where inside the case you can buy items such as different versions of our hummus,” co-owner Pekin Bayramli told What Now Chicago.

“Everything is made from scratch, in-house, daily, and throughout the day. We plan to mess around with different tapas and offer those in a much wider variety. The second different thing we will be introducing is a wine club, which pairs great with our food. Customers can join for 10 bucks a month, and buy it at the same price as us at the wholesale amount.”

“I’m Turkish, and my business partner Faisal is from Pakistan. He used to live Downtown and loved to work out. He eventually went to Turkey, fell in love, and came back and decided to open Olive. He started Olive with the idea in mind for a healthy concept after working out. I came in about a month later after that.”

“Faisal initially owned 33 Jimmy John locations, and I was interviewing for that, which is how I originally met Faisal. I started working with Olive due to that interview about 12 years ago. At our peak, we were up to five locations pre-Covid, but we unfortunately lost four of those locations during Covid. We have two locations open, and we are shooting to be back up to four locations in the first quarter of next year,” Pekin added.
