According to a recent leasing agreement, Printer’s Row Coffee Co will open a second location in Goose Island at 1400 N Kingsbury St.
A representative of Printer’s Row Coffee Co did not immediately respond to What Now Chicago’s request.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, the story of Printer’s Row Coffee Co commences with Nicole and Nick, two individuals united not only by their shared love for coffee but also by their professions—Nicole, a skilled graphic designer, and Nick, a proficient pharmacist. Their journey into the realm of coffee was catalyzed in 2010, while they resided in Akron, Ohio, and embarked on home-roasting experiments that would eventually shape Printer’s Row.
Their pursuit of perfecting home-roasting techniques continued when they relocated to Chicago in 2013. Guided by a passion for the art, science, and craft of roasting, Nicole and Nick transitioned from coffee enthusiasts to connoisseurs, navigating the intricate nuances of small-batch, single-origin coffee roasting.
The evolution of their love for coffee and roasting prowess eventually led to the inception of Printer’s Row Coffee Company in 2015. In 2017, they introduced their first café, nestled in the heart of Lincoln Park. Curiously named Printer’s Row Coffee Co., the moniker holds a deeper significance. Though their first café found its home in Lincoln Park rather than Printer’s Row, the name pays homage to the cherished place they call home in Chicago, according to their company website.
Some of Printer Row’s menu options include Brazil Cerrado coffee, Ethiopia Sadama coffee, Nicaragua Jinetoga coffee, and more. Printer Row also partners with Spoke & Bird, Dan the Baker, and Maa Maa Dei for their food options.
