The owner of the Thai restaurant is taking their success to a new location in the western suburbs.
From Thai Corner’s social media, the business’s second location is coming to 4730 Main Street in Lisle. This is replacing the former PoundCake Bakery. An opening date has not yet been announced.
Thai Corner’s St. Charles location is at 615 S Randall Road, Suite 115. It opened on New Years 2024 and has since become a destination for Thai cuisine. Owner Yardfon Underwood, who is a local of western Chicagoland, has not yet responded for comment.
A post from Lisle First on Facebook reads “The owners started discussing the process with the village in Feb. 2025. They will offer upscale dining with takeout and delivery options.”
The menu for the Lisle location is expected to mirror the St. Charles restaurant, with entrees like ground chicken basil, ginger stir fried and spicy szechuan with stir fried onions and peanuts. Curries and noodle dishes are also signature choices.
Thai Corner’s new restaurant is not yet listed online, but it is moving in next to NWB Next Whiskey Bar Lisle, and Yerbabuena Mexican Cuisine is a couple storefronts down. The downtown restaurant is also close to the Lisle Metra station.
What Now Chicago has reached out to Underwood, and this article may be updated.
