According to a recent tweet from B Talent, Tilly Bagel Shop aims to expand to Fulton Market at 210 N Aberdeen Street.
“South Loop Chicago bagel shop Tilly Bagel Shop is expanding to Fulton Market in Spring 2025. Currently building out their space.”
Hannah Tillett and Michael “Mike” Banaszak are behind Tilly Bagel Shop. Tilly Bagel Shop’s website states, “Hannah’s love of bagels started at a young age when every Sunday her dad would bring home fresh bagels from the local bagel shop. Since moving to Chicago, she craves quality bagels and decided to start making her own.”
“Hannah has worked at some of Chicago’s top restaurants as a pastry chef and used to practice her bagel recipe for her fellow co-workers during staff meals. In the middle of the COVID pandemic, she started giving her bagels to more friends and family since, like most people, she had a lot of time on her hands. She soon realized she could turn this into a full-fledged business!”
“Mike is a born and raised Chicagoan. He is a licensed architect who designed our new brick-and-mortar shop! He loves eating the leftover bagels and working “behind the scenes” on the business side of things. Mike’s favorite bagel/cream cheese combo: Cheddar with Jalapeno Cream Cheese (close 2nd: flaming hot cheetos on a plain bagel w/ cc).”
