According to a recent tweet from B Talent, Veteran Roasters will soon debut at 161 N Clark Street on the east side of the street across from the old State of Illinois building.

“Our official grand opening we hope to be right around the corner. When it comes to Veteran Roasters, they will first get one of the best cups of coffee in the city. We roast every day and purchase only the highest quality beans from family and fair-trade farmers,” Veteran Roasters’ founder, Mark Doyle, told What Now Chicago.

“Our partner in this venture is Stephanie Hart, the founder of Brown Sugar Bakery. She is a James Beard nominee and her caramel is legendary so our patrons will have the very best selection of croissants, brownies, donuts, muffins, yogurt parfaits, overnight oats, and weekly specials that you just won’t find anywhere else downtown.”

“Veteran Roasters was founded by my wife and I in 2017 as the sister company to Rags of Honor our apparel company. Our mission is and has always been, to hire unhoused and at-risk veterans and help them rebuild their lives after serving their country. Between both brands, we have hired over 100 unhoused and at-risk veterans since we opened our doors.”
