The pilates trend has also extended to the south suburbs.

From their Instagram, Cave Modern Pilates is set to offer a new exercise option at 31 Orland Square Drive. This is just west of the mall, close to the Von Maur department store entrance. Owner Hala Abusham told What Now Chicago she is hoping to debut her new concept around July 5, and has plans to expand throughout the Midwest in the future.

Since getting into fitness, Abusham has found comfort in strength training, and she has wanted to bring another fitness center to the suburb as these options are continuing to grow. Specifically, she wants to bring a center that offers strength training in pilates.

“I love Orland Park’s wellness and fitness community,” Abusham said.

At Cave, classes will vary in intensity, starting out with beginning level machines. The machines use springs and straps to exercise all parts of the body. For Abusham’s studio, she is creating different workout plans, including a “Cave method” for one of her classes.

The pilates studio is opening across from the Orland Square Mall, in front of FYE variety store. This building also shares a parking lot with Yasini Jewelers and Duluth Trading Company. Orland Park is over an hour south of downtown Chicago.

The team has not yet set up a website for their business, but will update the community on their opening date on Instagram.
