A fast-casual burger concept from Texas Roadhouse Inc. is continuing its expansion into Central Ohio.
According to Columbus Business First, Jaggers is planned for 837 Refugee Road in Pickerington, marking the brand’s second announced location in the Columbus market. The restaurant will join another planned Jaggers site at 1351 Polaris Parkway.
The Pickerington location is slated for a one-acre parcel currently occupied by part of the Giant Eagle parking lot at the intersection of Refugee Road and Hill Road North. Plans submitted to the city call for a new 3,500-square-foot standalone restaurant with 31 parking spaces.
“Pickerington is happy to creatively work with Jaggers on their unique site here, which will add another great food option to Hill Road,” Development Director Dave Gulden said in an email seen by the publication mentioned above.
Founded in 2014 in Noblesville, Indiana, Jaggers is a fast-casual concept featuring drive-thru and counter-service ordering. The menu includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, salads, and hand-spun milkshakes.
The concept was created by Kent Taylor, who once described Jaggers as “if Chick-fil-A and Five Guys got married and had a kid.” Since launching, the brand has expanded to 16 locations across the United States and internationally, including restaurants in Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas, Alaska, and South Korea.
Jaggers is one of several brands operated by Texas Roadhouse Inc.. The Louisville-based company is best known for its Texas Roadhouse steakhouse chain, which operated 744 locations across 49 states and 11 countries at the end of 2025.
In addition to Jaggers, the company is also expanding its sports bar concept, Bubba’s 33, into Central Ohio with a planned location in Reynoldsburg.
An opening date for the Pickerington Jaggers has not yet been announced. What Now Columbus reached out for additional information regarding the project and will provide updates as more details become available.
