Players Cafe, a gaming lounge featuring coffee, drinks and snacks, is planning to make improvements to its 17 W 5th Ave location, according to a permit filed with the city. The scope of the work includes cosmetic improvements such as new equipment, paint and furniture, as well as electrical outlets and plumbing fixtures. The projected cost of the work is $175,000, according to the permit.

According to information on the company’s website, Players Cafe is owned by Lotto.com, Inc. a New Jersey based start up that serves as “a neighborhood hangout space.” Players Cafe sells items like coffee, bottled beverages and snacks. The “play” in Players Cafe comes from the fact that the establishments offer space for customers to purchase and scratch-off lottery tickets and includes lounge areas such as an iPad bar and scratch-off bar as well as hosting monthly events.
