Irving is getting ready to welcome a fresh burst of caffeine, imported straight from the Sunshine State. A Florida chain called Qargo Coffee is bringing a wide range of coffee drinks, all-day breakfast, and Italian charm to the region this summer, reports Culture Map Dallas.
The cafe will be a bit of a departure for the 3990 North Belt Line Road building Qargo will be inhabiting. The 3,300 square foot space previously housed a Wendy’s; and while the storefront is continuing to host an eatery, it is undergoing both interior and exterior renovations to transform it into its next incarnation.
An opening timeline is not yet available, however local franchisee Kushal Bastakoti anticipates the location being up and running by the summer. Work has been underway to get the building customer ready for a bit now; according to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction began on February 1 of this year and will wrap by June 1.
Qargo is a relative newcomer to the fast-casual coffee scene. The brand launched in 2020 and its commitment to serving superior coffee quickly earned it a passionate fan base. The chain now has 90 storefronts being developed in 16 states.
Qargo’s thesis statement is simple but admirable: “The U.S. deserves a superior coffee experience, and we’re here to deliver it. As the next generations grow more diverse and seek unique, meaningful experiences, our modern approach to European coffee culture bridges the tastes of traditionalists and contemporary enthusiasts alike. Together, we’re shaping the future of coffee.”
