An Italian chain continues its rapid expansion across Texas. According to public filings, Olive Garden plans to build a new restaurant at 575 W. Illinois Ave. in Dallas.
Olive Garden first opened in Florida in 1982 and has grown to more than 900 locations nationwide. The chain is known for its Italian-American menu, including pasta, soups, salads, and its signature never-ending breadsticks.
What Now Dallas reached out to Olive Garden’s representatives to inquire about the opening timeline but did not receive a response prior to press time. Permitting records list a construction completion date of October 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are not always definitive.
The Dallas project adds to Olive Garden’s continued growth across North Texas, which What Now has tracked closely in recent months.
What Now Dallas reported on a new Cedar Hill location, a 6,496-square-foot restaurant, and separately covered a 7,828-square-foot Midlothian restaurant expected to open by March 2027.
Olive Garden’s Texas expansion has extended well beyond DFW. What Now Austin has recently covered new restaurants planned for Kyle and Austin, while What Now Houston reported on a Katy location at Texas Heritage Marketplace. Texas already has nearly 120 Olive Garden restaurants, more than any other state.
