Story Behind the Bakery

Gateaux Pastries opened in 1999. It was founded by Kathleen Davia and Brad High. According to the Westword report, Davia and High sold the business to Michelle Rasul in 2020. Rasul had been working as the head baker of the pastry spot for a decade.

Reflecting on her journey, Rasul added in the post that she has spent 17 years of her life at Gateaux. “I have relished in the incredible honor of preparing cakes and pastries for some of life’s grandest celebrations and most significant milestones in the lives of many of our clients,” Rasul noted.

As the final chapter of the Gateaux Pastries approaches, the owner encourages the community members to visit the bakery before its permanent farewell.
