Kona Grill is preparing to open a new location at the Festival Shopping Center in Centennial, according to posts from a local realtor. Located at 8292 S University Blvd, this will be the company’s second outpost in the state, following the one that has long served the Cherry Creek community.

Realtor Leslie Clay shared in a video that the concept is coming to the corner of County Line Rd. and University, in the old Applebee’s space. The business has “coming soon” signage on it, but did not respond to requests for comment on the status or timeframe.

Known for its fresh seafood, sushi, steak, and signature margaritas, Kona Grill is a go-to destination for diners. It also has a wildly popular happy hour menu, with $3, $6, and $9 specials from Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 6 PM, and every night from 9 PM to close, its website advertises.

The new location brings the popular eatery to the south side of the metro, joining an already busy plaza, Festival Shopping Center. Other neighboring tenants include PetSmart, Amish Furniture Gallery, Guiry’s Paint and Decorating, and Appliance Factory Outlet.
