Las Delicias, a family-run business that has been serving the Northern Colorado area since 1995, is undergoing some changes, it appears. According to city records, the company is seeking approval to work on a building at 1298 N College Ave., not far from one of its current FoCo stores.

It is unclear if the concept is expanding or relocating, as the business did not return requests for comment. However, permitting data shows a “general alteration” request to turn the property from a bank to retail use.

Owned by Jose Garcia and his wife, the company has multiple locations. Las Delicias specializes in offering a wide selection of authentic Mexican groceries, candies, and prepared foods, including traditional meat cuts and marinades from its in-store butcher shops.

The business began with a small store on North College Avenue selling candy and soda but has since grown into a full-service market. Garcia opened a second Fort Collins store on South College Avenue in 2000 and a third on McMurray Drive in 2013, as well as a Loveland location in 2013.
