A new option for beers and bites is coming to the northern suburb.
Celina’s Bar & Grill is soon debuting their second location in Southeast Michigan at 34360 Utica Road in Fraser. The Madison Heights spot is known for their highly-ranked wings. Owner Anthony Mancini told What Now Detroit he is hoping to open the restaurant around mid-September.
The first Celina’s arrived in Madison Heights almost eight years ago at 623 W 11 Mile Road. Mancini also owns DOX Grillhouse at 25225 Jefferson Avenue in St. Clair Shores. Both concepts fall under Barfood Group, his hospitality company.
The menu has a wide range of bar food like wings and tenders, appetizers, handhelds, soups and salads. Drink specials include $2 or $3 can beers, a $4 beer of the month or a $5 drink special, with cocktails and seltzers also available.
“Metro Detroit’s destination with wings – serving over 13,000 wings every week,” says the description on their website.
Mancini said he has been planning the new Celina’s for about a year. From a recent post on the Celinas Facebook page, a mural is being painted on the wall as interior work is done. The dining, kitchen and bar areas are still under construction.
Celinas will open on the east side of Utica Road, in the same plaza as John Albert Salon and AJ’s Appliance Repair & HVAC. Across the street is Juan Blancos Tacos & Tequila. This is near the 15 Mile Road intersection.
As more updates on the official opening date become available, the Celinas team will be updating the community on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
