My Big Fat Shawarma is opening its new location next month. The restaurant will celebrate its grand opening with freebies and more. It will also mark the brand’s continued expansion in the Metro Detroit area.
My Big Fat Shawarma to Open New Location in Beverly Hills
My Big Fat Shawarma, a Metro Detroit-based fast-casual Mediterranean brand, is opening in Beverly Hills. The new location will celebrate its grand opening on September 12. It will be located at 31243 Southfield Road in the Oakland County community.
The new restaurant will be the brand’s fourth location and will occupy a 3,360-square-foot space. It will include an outdoor patio and will employ about 15 people. The restaurant’s menu will feature shawarma bowls, wraps, and sides made with ingredients such as steak, chicken, and falafel.
“Opening our fourth location is a major milestone for My Big Fat Shawarma and a reflection of how much our brand has grown,” said My Big Fat Shawarma Founder and CEO Marcos Kiminaia. “We’ve built this brand around quality ingredients, generous portions, and creating a place where people feel welcome, and we’re looking forward to bringing that experience to Beverly Hills.”
The new Beverly Hills restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, it will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Grand Opening Details
My Big Fat Shawarma will celebrate the grand opening with giveaways and special offers throughout the day. The first 100 guests at the restaurant will receive free shawarma bowls and wraps. There will also be a $50 gift card giveaway every half hour, a $100 gift card giveaway every hour, and an electric bike giveaway valued at $4,400.
The event will also feature prizes connected to the brand’s partnership with NBA player Isaiah Stewart. This includes a signed jersey, autographed sneakers, and a signed basketball.
“As a way to thank everyone who has supported us since we opened our first location in 2023, we’re making sure this grand opening is our biggest celebration yet,” said My Big Fat Shawarma Managing Partner and COO Leith Sawa.
